About Natascha Mercuri

Originating from Germany and raised in Argentina, Natascha Mercuri embarked on a transformative educational journey that traversed Argentina, Texas, and back to Germany. Her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Argentina and her experience teaching English as a Foreign Language served as the launching pad, fostering a deep-rooted passion for teaching. This passion further flourished as she worked for a school district in the South of Texas and completed her Master’s in Bilingual Education from the University of Texas in Brownsville.

Throughout her many teaching experiences, Natascha Mercuri worked across a variety of educational environments, where she was an expert at teaching both Spanish and English to various student populations catering to their unique needs. She moved to Texas and quickly adjusted to teaching Science and also took on literacy in the content area classroom. Her commitment to improving teaching methods prompted her to share her insights at numerous district and state conferences, where she became a source of motivation for other fellow educators. She currently serves as the Head of the English Department in Germany and imparts knowledge to a wide spectrum of students, from elementary to those pursuing the International Baccalaureate.

In her role as a curriculum writer, Natascha Mercuri channels her expertise into contributing significantly to various school districts across the U.S. With over 20 years of experience working with elementary and secondary students, she contributes to the development of curriculum frameworks that cater to the diverse needs of all students, including bilingual, dual language, transitional bilingual, ESL programs, and newcomers. Her commitment to enhancing educational practices and empowering students continues to leave a mark on the field of education.
